By 16, the people who knew me expected a funeral. Not a founder.
I grew up in chaos. Broken home. The streets. Jail. Funerals. I was surviving before most kids learn to drive. I did things I won’t put on a page — I’ve buried friends, and I’ve been left for dead.
Order from Chaos
Then at 19, I became a father. The chaos stopped being only mine to carry.
No money. No roadmap. No connections. I learned business the hard way — one deal, one mistake at a time. I almost lost it all more than once. Real estate, then a company, then systems stacked on systems. I chased every version of what I thought "made it" was supposed to look like.
I got to $700K months. Then watched it fall to $20K — and the market didn’t do that. I did. I’d overbuilt the whole thing. Myself included.
And you can actually get there. The money, the freedom, the options. And feel nothing.
I figured that out on a yacht off the islands of Colombia. Water like glass, the whole postcard. Everything I thought I was chasing, right in front of me. And all I had was this flat, quiet question I couldn’t put down:
For what?
It was never the business. It was the kid.
Chaos isn’t beaten with more hustle. It’s absorbed by systems. Intensity is cheap; consistency is expensive. I stopped relying on heroic effort and started building systems. I chose discipline over motivation. I chose silence over noise.
The Work Today
By 30, the first million in business. By 31, the numbers were big enough to be confusing. By 35, I was running it from Mexico — not as an escape, but as a system test. The company works without me in the office. That’s the only definition of freedom I trust.
I’m building for the next thirty years, not the next quarter. The math runs through my son.
